Pearl Interactive Network is recruiting to hire a Director of Business Development.
The Director of Business Development is responsible for providing leadership to the sales and account management processes and for growing revenues across the full breadth of Pearl Interactive Network (PIN) solutions. This position represents a balanced customer relationship management effort involving sales and account management skills, product knowledge, problem-solving and solution skills, and direction of other PIN specialized resources assigned. New client growth is a large component of this role.

Operating Hours: 8 am - 5 pm EST, Monday - Friday
Preferred Location: DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Retain and grow revenue and account share.
- Understand customer business and service requirements to develop "tailored" PIN solutions.
- Direct tactical implementation of developed business plan for account to meet or exceed sales, marketing and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Interface and direct sales and operations strategies that fit continually changing customer needs.
- Interface with key customer executives in a professional and mutually beneficial partnership.
- Responsible for entire sales cycle, including bid preparation and closing.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years demonstrated track record in Business Development, with a proven track record of success in selling to Federal government agencies and commercial clients.
- Extensive knowledge of the Federal contracting landscape, including procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with commercial and government systems that support the Federal capture process, e.g., Deltek GovWin, FedBizOpps (FBO), Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), and the System for Award Management (SAM).
- Demonstrated ability to work with federal departments and agencies' senior management and across functions within customer organizations to gain commitment, obtain resources and achieve desired results.
- History and track record of achievement of revenue objectives, and experience in selling solutions.
- Adept at meeting established individual growth milestones while contributing to collective team performance goals.
- Strong leadership skills with experience resolving conflict, managing, and motivating high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including reading and interpreting complex information, speaking with customers and/or clients, and listening to the concerns and needs of the customers and/or clients.
- Superior professional presence and business acumen.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in CRM systems, sales automation tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, mostly within the D.C, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area.

The employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
